The PROTECTING GOD’S CHILDREN (PGC) Program educates and trains adults (clergy, religious, teachers, employees, volunteers, and parents) about the dangers of abuse, the warning signs of abuse, the ways to prevent abuse, the methods of properly reporting suspicions of abuse, and responding to allegations of abuse.
In order for St. Charles to be compliant with our Diocesan Safe Environment Policy we require that everyone 13 years of age and older, who volunteer within our youth and faith formation ministry, to complete the following items:

• • Go to the following website: Virtus Online If you have never had an account please click the First Time Registrant button.
  • • Select your organization: Beaumont (Diocese)
    • If you have an online account already and do not know the username/password, click on I Need Login Help.
• • Begin the registration process.
  • • Select your organization: Beaumont (Diocese)
    • Have you previously registered before? (if you are not certain please call the office 409-722-3413)
    • Select your username and password.
• Fill in all of your personal information. Please fill each box in completely.
• Select Primary Location: St Charles Borromeo
• Select Role: Volunteer if over 18, Student Volunteer is younger than 18.
• Sign the policies that follow.
• Answer questions for background check.
• Select online training program. (A box will pop up with one training assigned. Click the link and complete the training.)
