Bereavement Committee
This ministry serves to offer support to grieving parishioners by providing a few food trays during the funeral services of a loved one. The trays are picked up by a parishioner from a local store and delivered to an address given to us by the deceased parishioner’s family member.

Praying 100 Rosaries for 100th Year Anniversary
Have you thought about praying with us? As a parish, we have set a goal to pray the rosary together 100 times over the next year for our 100 Year Anniversary. Beginning Wednesday, November 1st, a rosary will be recited at 5:15pm during Adoration; and beginning Saturday, November 4th, a rosary will be recited at 4pm before Mass. This will continue every Wednesday and Saturday until our anniversary celebration in November of 2024.

We need your help to make this happen! You may sign up as a leader for the rosary on Wednesdays or Saturdays or commit to praying privately at your convenience. You can also use the commitment sheets near the doors of the church to request to be a leader or indicating your desire to pray 100 private rosaries. Sign Up to be a Leader
Leaders will be contacted and provided a binder with all of the prayers of the rosary and shown where to sit and how to lead the rosary for a large group. Coming together in prayer is a wonderful way to give thanks to God for all the blessings our parish has received in the last 100 years!

Christmas Giving Tree
Volunteers assist with placing Giving Tree tags on the Christmas tree the week of Thanksgiving. This ministry serves our local families in the Nederland ISD. Volunteers are also needed to help sort and bag gifts prior to the schools picking up the gifts to distribute to families. This ministry only runs from the end of November through the week before Christmas. Those wishing to volunteer should contact the youth or the religious education office.

Greetings by Mail
Ministry members mail cards from St. Charles Parish to parishioners who have been hospitalized, or who have lost a family member. Cards are a way to let our parishioners know that we care and are thinking of them.

Homebound Ministry
These volunteers visit and pray with St. Charles parishioners who have become homebound; they occasionally check on a homebound parishioner’s welfare and safety during extreme weather by telephone.

Hospital Visitation
The ministry members visit St. Charles parishioners in area hospitals when the parish office has been notified of a hospitalization. Family members of parishioners are encouraged to contact the parish office each time their loved one is hospitalized.

Hospitality
These volunteers assist with parish receptions and/or special events, including missions, sacramental receptions, etc. (3-5 times a year). Volunteers share their talents of organizing, floral arranging, baking goodies, being hosts/hostesses and offering a friendly smile.

St. Charles Quilters
Members meet Monday mornings at 9:00 am.
