Elementary
Faith Formation
Pre-K - 5th Grade

Faith Formation is a process for baptized children to be “formed” in faith:“And yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by your hand.” Jeremiah 18:6

Elementary Faith Formation, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, provides opportunities for our children to know Christ and his teachings by promoting knowledge of the faith, Liturgy and Sacraments, how to pray, and active participation in the life of the Church.

Elementary Faith Formation activities include:Grade-Level Catechetical Instruction for ages PK-5th grade, Sacramental Preparation for Reconciliation and Eucharist (occurs in 2nd grade), RCIC for those older than 2nd grade that are needing to receive their Reconciliation and Eucharist.PK-5th grade Faith Formation classes meet on Wednesdays throughout the school year from 5:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. Faith Formation is a lifelong journey, and children continue to build their relationship with God by attending Faith Formation classes and regular attendance at Mass. Enrollment begins in June for the upcoming school year.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Vacation Bible School is held in the summer from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m (Date advertised at a later date). Children entering in K-5th grade are invited to join us. Volunteer/Service Opportunities
We welcome adults and teens to share their faith with our children. Their love of children is an essential ingredient to the success of our ministry. Anyone aged 18 and older will need to complete the Protecting God’s Children Program (online) and have a criminal background check. While teen helpers 8th grade-12th grade will need to complete a teen safe environment training.
